It all started with my obsession with Mario.
I would always look on YouTube for the latest art compilation videos of Mario x Peach and the like (because I was a strange child). Wanting to know the source of these videos, I looked up the watermark on one of them, which led me to Princesa-Daisy
. I browsed her (wonderful) gallery, and didn't think twice about joining.
But then, someone had posted videos of Nintendrawer
's Super Mario Comic, and (thinking that it was already completed, found the link in the description and started reading to find the rest of the story. Since it wasn't finished (but still a really good comic nontheless), I realized all the other things I liked that I could search on the website and stalk galleries for, and that was it. I was hooked. And so I joined, and even though I don't know anyone irl that has an account here, I still made tons of new friendships that I hope to keep in the future~
Here's a timeline thing:
2012 (Part One: "Original" Stuff)
I made a lot of pointless sprites and icons (that weren't even transparent) that have been removed recently due to people claiming that they were breaking copyright laws (in which I had no proof to clarify, mostly because they were already three years old), but the fake error messages
that came along still give me a chuckle from time to time.
2012 (Part Two: A Wild "Fan-Artist" Appears)
More pointless sprites and photos, and especially... the fourth one.... I can't believe I was actually proud of that!
This was also the year I was a "meme loving fuck" (see horrible rage comic). Ah, those were the
times. The first one is still notorious to me for still getting favs to this day even though zero effort was put into it. It was also the year I started my liking towards the Rayman series. I had started to make friends at this point, too.
I put this as a different part of the timeline because my outlook on the website was totally different once I actually started drawing things.
So many things happened in this year! First of all, my sucky digital coloring continued, but I was blinded by this (until the end of the year). I also played Animal Crossing and gained my love for Dr. Shrunk, gained 100 watchers and made tons of friends in the Animal Crossing fandom! The spriting continued, but got better. The "Gone to Disney World Icon" (fourth from the left) remains popular today!
Good News (A GHS OC)
Name: Good News
Aliases: The Devil's Messenger (When/if Gregory tells you about her), News
Represents the fear of: Gossip
Gender: Female (duh)
Age: She arrived at the hotel somewhere in her mid to late teens
Appearance: She appears to be a young looking woman with freckled light blue skin, inverted eyes and cobalt blue hair which is tied up in a black ponytail. On her head she wears a lime green newsboy cap, and around her neck she wears a scarf of the same color with black stripes (you get a virtual cookie if you get that reference). Her clothes consist of a sky blue shirt (yes, it's different from light blue) and denim jeans (which are the same color as her hair in this picture due to me not having enough types of blue in my sharpie collection) with brown loafers. around her left shoulder is a [f
I went through a weeaboo-ish stage in the beginning of this year, but only in terms of art style. More OCs were posted, and I used traditional tools (prismacolors and sharpies, specifically) much more often. In February I discovered Gregory Horror Show, which I still love to this day! Recently I've converted from just plain traditional or digital to a combination of the two, tweaking my drawings in GIMP and making them transparent. (I'm secretly really proud of the eighth one... although no one commented on it....)
Anyway, sorry for writing a novel, I just wanted to reflect.
Thanks to everyone for supporting me through this, I love all of you!!
Time to get uploading!
